I absolutely love this song. I think it's about, like many people have said, two people who have met and really like each other and they are just messing about doing the random things that newly formed couples do. Radar detector I think is a metaphor for someone whose perhaps just walked into a person's life just at the right time...he's the radar (driving around) and she has detected him.
