PLEASE READ, I KNOW ITS LONG, BUT I REALLY BELIEVE I'M RIGHT
I always really liked this song, and I even liked it more, when I noticed that it describes my love situation, and here it is: I liked this boy, and he seemed to like me too, it was visible, and all my firends thought he did. When I became sure, because his best friend told one of my friends, and it had been long time since I"ve been that way, I decided to tell him how I feel, when I did, it all went wrong and we barely talked after that. So I decided to forget, and I kinda hated him after that, bcz I lost so much on him. But later, many other things made me believe that he really did love me, and he started to talk more, but I kept hating him, and became really harsh to him, allthough he was dying for me, like I was previously dying for him. And right now, I lost him, I feel my chances really small after how I was treating him when he decided I was good! That;s the "'Cause I've seen love die, way too many times when it deserved to be alive" part of my story, I loved him in the bad time, and hated him when I should've loved him. But right now, I'm really trying to get him back, but it's not really working.
Then, HE started to treat me bad, like if he was trying to give it back to me (but iy's a little betetr right now) and later he tries to show me he loves me, just TRIES. And that's the "And you do your best to show me love, but you dunno what love is" part. I think that's what Hayley meant, that we love people in the bad time, when they don't want us, and we forget about them when they want us. That's what I think.
