To me, I feel these lyrics are about a guy she really loves. Brings her from "grey" to "the most brilliant blue", turns "tears into a candy sky" . . . He makes her happy whenever she's down.

Here, she wants him to let him into his life.
The chorus, she's basically saying she doesn't ever want to leave him, for he makes her feel special. And "sticky-sweet" means to me that he's "sticky" as in she can't get him off of her mind, and "sweet" as in . . . well, he's a sweet guy!
The rest of the song pretty much fits the whole, "I'm in love with this guy" idea I suggested.
