Take that back. After reading this very carefully and listening to the song. It's response back to someone that's straight edge and critized them for being christians and drinking alcohol. Maybe towards Jeremy McKinnon from A Day To Remember for "Why Walk On Water When We've Got Boats".

"Push your controlling values aside, and dissect your own life. It's not about my beliefs. It's about personal choice." - referring towards someone that's straight-edge.

"It breaks your heart to see me consume, but it shatters mine to see people follow you" - When he talks about this...sorry kids but, the members of August Burns Red does drink alcohol. Straight-Edge doesn't believe in religion and preaching about it how Christianity isn't real so kids will follow it.

"Ask me to be blameless. You ask me to be blameless but who are you to decide whats right?" - How this person is asking them how they aren't innocent for drinking but, still can be Christian.

@CKwillburn At this point your comment is old, but I am really not sure about this take. Doesn't seem like ABR to "respond" to another song, I actually am really not sure if they care. I do think it is about judgemental Christians, which I am sure "Christian" bands here enough from. I am kind of intrigued though, because Straight Edge beliefs might make sense for the alcohol consumption, and their misunderstanding that drinking is not "unchristian".
