It makes more sense to me because in a relationship he's not looking for something that wont last, he's interested in what works and what is beautiful, and he wants to mix those two and watch the relationship grow.

Our christian rock station in the dallas area is notorious for playing generic, everything sounds the same, christian rock, but I think hearing this song on there is pretty cool.. it's actually bringing some decent musicianship and creativity to the table.
