It is based on historical fact, but so beautifully written that you can feel the sorrow of the Queen by the end, and the magnitude of the sacrifice she has made... the lyrics are quite self-explanatory really - the restrictions imposed on us by the expectations of others, and whether our first duty is to our country, our people or to our own hearts...
