This song is just utterly amazing. Just...wow. Skin's voice is so magical; I especially love when she sings the verses - the music is kind of calm. The chorus is just brilliant, the music is so heavy and emphasizes Skin's lyrics and vocals so well.
I think the meaning is pretty straight-forward. She was in a relationship with someone and when it ended, she pretty much gave up on love because it hurt so bad. She's basically blaming her ex and love for her numbness and the pain she went through.

I can totally relate to the lyrics in this video. I am sure most everyone can. I think this song is more distinct to those of us who have felt this way for a long enough time to feel that this shit is permanent. Not just a few months like in high school where moving on is easy enough.
