This is a great song. I had to listen to each verse to realize it. Personal growth involves coming to terms with our past misdeeds and learning from them rather than being held down by the regrets. Never try to hide from our past or forget our mistakes lest we end up repeating them. Yeah, life is gonna bring us down, probably on a daily basis, but pessimism is an emotion, not a life philosophy. So get over yourself and live for more than selling out to greed.
