At the end of the show at the merch tables, I asked Seth Trotter (lead vocalist and song writer of TH) what 'the book' represented.
He said (this is probably paraphrased now) "I'm really glad you ask me that. It's about back in the time of Shakspere, when he wrote Romeo and Juliet, there was a dating ettiquette book, that dictated everything from how girl kissed to how a guy was supposed to treat a girl. The book was it, that was the rule then. And that stemmed and just inspired the lyrics. Ya know?"
