I can completely relate to this song and how sick and twisted it feels to love the pieces of your ex left in you even though they want nothing to do with you. It's like when you loved someone so insanely much that even though they ripped out your heart, the good memories of them still make you happy and the experiences you had together have made you a completely different person.
While you still love the past, you have a sort of hatred for what they've done to you and you wish that you'd left the same scar that they did on you.
