The line "We can't be your babies 'til you take us home" is really interesting to me. The best meaning I could connect to it is kind of obvious, but it goes with the "fuck you, record companies" theme.
"babies" - meaning offspring. Something for the record companies to call their own. Also, 'to baby' someone is often used to mean 'cater to'. That may play a part in this line.
"take us home" - meaning the record companies take care of the bands, and provide more of their needs
Plenty of bands in the industry (especially when they move to a larger label) have said their company hardly does shit for them. Until the record labels provide more support (monetarily and/or creatively) to bands, why should they cater to the record companies and give in to their requests for "hits"?
I think sdjustinr's interpretation is spot on.
