I think it's a good companion piece to "Days". Where days is looking back and kind of in a somber tone, this song is looking forward and uplifting. I find it ironic that both of them were break-up songs.
I also like the way when he sings ,"hoping all the verses rhyme" that they don't rhyme in that coupling. Ray, being the great songwriter he is, must have done this on purpose.
