Cover art for Dylan lyrics by Emmy the Great

For me, this is another of Emmy's songs about her brother, and his fictional/real? suicide. "Edward Is Dedward", "Bad Things Coming" and "Absentee". It seems as the younger sister, she's watching her older brother become a distant moody teenager with an enthusiasm for Bob Dylan and going through a difficult teen angst stage, using Bob Dylan as his musical role model. He alienates Emmy by attempting to be cool or because he's dissatisfied with his life.

I personally love Bob Dylan and Emmy the Great. I love the first two lines: "I pray for rain because I'm trying/To find God and make him cry" and "Like reading an Italian book from the thirteenth century is not that hard to do" because of the way it sounds and the syncopation.
