I honestly think this song is about homeless people. im not saying the other interpretations are not correct it could very well have more than one meaning, but just think about the homeless when u hear this... the REAL homeless.
I totally agree. In its most literal interpretation it's about homeless people. I'm not saying the song can't mean different things to different people but to me that interpretation easily trumps any other emotional meaning people extract from it. Like, if I'm unpopular in school and no one seems to care for me there, well, that's not nearly as bad as having to live on whichever street looks good tonight, or under whichever bridge the local serial killer isn't using at the moment...
