wow...I can't believe this song doesn't have that many comments O_o it's pretty epic <3 anyways, to me the song is pretty straight forward. it's basically about someone (girl or boy, could go either way) who has a drinking problem and due to their addictive drinking they've become a "monster". even though they know it does that to them they continue to "drink poison", but at the same time they're trying to stop before it gets worse (I get that from the lyrics "We've got to get out, get out Before it gets weirder"). I also think that a friend/gf or bf/relative/etc. knows about their problem, but have given up on helping them out since they're "sick of listening" to all the lies the person says about how they will try and quit drinking. also I can't help but think this song could be about two friends at a party or a bar who start drinking and what not. but then one of them realizes that if they keep doing it things could get bad/"weirder" if they stay (like if one of them drives home drunk they might not make it home. I get that from "I hope I can get home to you"). well yea...that's what I think. sorry for rambling on and on :P
