Well I agree that their songs make miserable situations happy and blissful.
And to me the song is talking about a best friend of hers who has relationship problems a lot. She's saying that she'll be here to help her no matter what. She obviously is trying to say she has a much better head on her shoulders then her friend, because her friend is just so naive, and keeps getting hurt.
