Instead of "Well the light of the reason and the passing of the sky", I believe it's actually: "Why the rhyme and the reason are passing us by". That's what I hear, and it would make sense with the rest of the verse.
Also, the last line in the crashing, triumphant part, I'm pretty sure he changes it to "hungry and reckless", but it's a very minor change. Maybe it's just me hearing that, though.
