I think that this song is pretty straight forward in terms of the meaning. He's dating this girl who has a history of breaking hearts. And she does exactly that to him - tries to break his heart. "right from the start" she tried to hurt him... and then the icing on the cake was of course, that other man in the room. But instead of being heartbroken over her, he realizes that she's an evil bitch, and doesn't want anything to do with her - or her bitter kiss - ever again.
The line "Drew a target on my heart" reminds me of the line in their song This Suffering (from II) when he says "Like a target drawn across my chest"
