I don't know how so many people can call this song stupid. My only guess is that you're not looking into the lyrics enough. At first the they seem nonsensical, but, like the others have said, it's about the younger generation not being understood. And even if you consider the lyrics stupid, they aren't the whole song. Granted, they never were his strong point, but his vocals are astounding and the music is great as well. And it showcases his personality, which is likely the reason it's considered a greatest hit. I love this song (very catchy) and I love Paul McCartney!
