I could be completely wrong, but to me, this seems to be a metaphor about the vocalist's opinion on the story of Adam and Eve. He is glad that man ate the forbidden fruit (so to speak), so now everyone lives a normal life. And "no finer feeling exists" is simply living life.

Given the vocalist's background from Birtheater, that doesn't sound very far off. Immediately my new favorite Oceana song.

No, I think that is completely wrong haha. I believe this whole song is about addictions, and material Gods (hence the name wool God). When he says he 'this fruit's enough to feed myself and no one else' that's just saying addictions and such are just selfish, they don't benefit anyone but ourselves. I think bottled fruit is obviously wine or alcohol, just an example of one addiction. He elaborates when he says: "This heart is , this is where it stays. And this is where God is, and this is where it stays". Notice he says 'it' instead of...
