i went to one of his concerts and he told us the story behind jane doe. so apparently he was at a restaurant in santa monica, ca and he was eating a veggie burger with a sprite and the waitress came over to him to refill his sprite and he saw her hands and he thought they were the most beautiful hands he'd every seen so he looked up at her face and the girl "looked like an angel" and he was too awkward and wanted to just say "i love you" but instead he just said "thank you"
