Also when he talks about himbeing there when his friend got sober, he obviously tryed to help his friend stop his addiction and thought he had succeded, but his friend has returned to drugs. In the song he is pleading for his friend to change his ways so that he wouldn't be right about him saying he was going to die. Awsome song I'm a huge fan.
