I believe these lines:
"in blue, or whatever you say/well id like to be wrong"
are actually:
"In Bloomfield, or where ever you say/well, I'd like to feel robbed"
It makes more sense because it would make reference to Bloomfield, NJ (where Ted lives(?)/has lived) and just sounds better anyway.
