The chorus should read: “And never was there an answer, there an answer…” Such a beautiful song, it has meant more to me as I’ve grown older, as does his track “Short and Sweet”, both melancholy songs of living life and it’s experiences and questions unanswered. Over time these gems have aged like fine wine…and so with that I think I’ll go pour a glass and spin this album off vintage vinyl…how sweet it is!
I heard back in 1980 on a radio station that the song was about the JamesTown cult.Only problem is as that the deaths occured in Nov 78 and that album came out in May 78.
