Honestly I don't really care about the real facts that made them write the song, I only care about it's meaning, and how it goes well with.. erm.. Jimmy's death =( Well, I think there are a few sentences that can be pointed out as really meaningful here :
" I just want to die, take away my life, lay by your side, please" : the person speaking (let's say Matt), doesn't give a damn about afterlife, he just wants to die to get away from the pain of losing his close friend, the one he relied on to stay strong. He wants to disappear, along with his friend , without knowledge of what might happen after death.
The title (I won't see you tonight PART 2) , and the chorus from the first part (Sorrow , sinks deep inside my blood... away) , shows that that person (Matt)'s suicide, will recreate the same situation among another love one .
