Just a thought: are we sure the line 'peel out the watchword' is correct? 'Peal out the watchword' sounds the same but might make better sense. Sounds - bells, thunder, laughter, cries - peal out. I can't think of anything that 'peels out'.
I don't know if there is an 'official' lyric sheet, but they are often wrong anyway, especially if the writers themselves are bad at spelling.
