This song seems to be absolutely filled with Tool references. A lot of the riffs have a Tool feeling to them, and the solo especially - it sounds very similar to Sober. And the lyrics seem to reference the song Aenema - "You think somebody cares why the water is rising up? Let the cleansing begin. Mother will they ever thank you?" (Tool's song Aenema is about California falling into the Pacific Ocean and also refers to "Mother" Nature ["Mom, please flush it all away"]. And of course, it should be noted that Year of the Black Rainbow was produced by Joe Baressi, who mixed Tool's last album. I love how Claudio ties in references to other artists and songs in subtle ways. Like how the keyboards in When Skeletons Live totally sound like Fleetwood Mac. Year of the Black Rainbow is an amazing album...
