in my opinon the Medic (Christ) is unphased by the narrator wound because he has been though alot worse, and he is sitting to tend to is wounds, though all the chaos (metaphor for all the suffering around you that that you endure God is their helping you along the way. And afater the narrator realization in the lake, Gid brings him back and finish this war.
