I think this song holds a deeper meaning than most people actually think. To me it sounds like their own veiws on religion "lured to this dream, alluring to the skies. To live Among them and never die." combined with "the mindless are easily led" makes me believe that this is about Christianity and how they think of it as a dream, a sort of false reality. And."to attain love by rule rather than by choice", describes how one-sided they view it. More like more people are forced into it, rather than their own personal choice.
At first hearing this band, I thought they would be just like every other new "core" band out there, but these guys really have something to say in their music and I can completely relate to it. No matter how you percieve this song, it's one of the best I've ever heard.
I think you to could both be right. the meanings of there songs are unclear and difficult to decifer. but the band is great, the are different from most of the other metal bands and there songs have a deeper meaning then the others.
However i do think that this song could be a referecne to whats currently going on with the earth right now. because many of their other songs< (for example: "To Plant a Seed") refer to te condition the earth is in and how man is affecting it.
Im not an expert but if i had...
