I'm pretty sure this song has nothing to do with Ghostrider, the motorcycle hero. The band "Suicide" does a song about him, that Henry Rollins covered on the Crow soundtrack.
I can't say which one, but this song is about one of those old 50's drive- in motorcycle gang movies. Personally, this song reminds me of being on the road, crossing the country, and being haunted by the shades of "Hollywood" biker gangs like in "The Wild One", and every little dusty rest stop or diner or motel you stop in conjures the feelings engendered by these films. Silver screen threats that never were.
