I just got out of an abusive relatiuonship & this song is really helping me through.
"You sang it so sweet" reminds me of all the meaningless apologies.
"You told me you'd keep this between us" reminds me of how he'd beg me not to tell anyone what he was doing to me.
And
"You slung
Your tongue
At me
You're wrong" reminds me of all the verbal abuse he threw at me daily & how I'd just have to keep telling myself it was all lies in order to keep what was left of my self esteem.
