Getting It Wrong Lyrics

After Mark Linkous' suicide on March 6, I started listening to this song again. A lot. I find it ironic that the lyrics "Ophelia in the creek / Caught up in the sticks / Some things can't be fixed" saved me from doing something stupid a few years ago, and now they fit Mark's death so well. Amazing song; I can't decide whether it's resigned or sad or angry or just an observation: it's very noticeable when beautiful things are destroyed. "Set your woods on fire" sounds like a reference to self-sabotage, or is it just about cutting losses for the observer? Ambiguous and beautiful.
