i LOVE this song! its pretty easy to understand: she's just saying to to stay strong and don't listen to whatever bad things people have to say about you.
in the beginning she is saying that even when everything bad seems to happen in your life, (when the wind is blowin in your face...) keep your ground and when she says "what till you see my smile" that just means tell those who think you wont go anywhere in life, "oh yea, well we'll see bout that" =)
