I think that, yes, she's be lying to him and leading him on completely sure that she can capture him in the fantasy while she tries to figure out what to do herself. and this song is him saying 'I'm not falling for the bullshit anymore commit yourself or not.' though the "halfway gone" part could mean one fo two things in my mind.
1) during the relationship he was drifting off with every lie she told him, every time she lead him on.
2) he's leaving, but still loves her despite everything so it's hard to break away but he's slowly managing it. "Cause I'm halfway in, but don't take too long
