In the second verse, or the bridge, or whatever it is, I hear, "No chance in charm or slight of hand". I think he may be saying it that way because he isn't even going to chance putting on charm, he's not going to do anything about it. Maybe he doesn't know how, or he's afraid. Either way, he feels inadequate for her.
In the third verse, I hear, "As far as mustering eyes can see" Strained eyes makes sense too, but I've just always heard mustering. It could work either way, but mustering works because it's describing what others see and perceive and gather when they see him, and that nothing has changed. They're analyzing and forming opinions.
Finally, in the refrain, I hear "I want resolution, I'm ready, I'm ready. Kill my dead illusions, I'm praying, I'm praying." I realize he would be saying "I'm praying, I'm praying" twice, but I never hear any distinction between the last "I'm praying" and the first "I'm praying". I never heard drained until I read these lyrics on here. They could very well be correct, however if he does say "I'm praying, I'm praying" twice, I think it just implants the idea that he really, really wants to change.
I'm so glad someone finally posted this song though, I had a hard time understanding some of it, and reading these lyrics, it really helped me make more sense of the song. :)
