In fact I interpreted this song the opposite way from Jsimpson88. When I heard this song, it sounded like it's from the perspective of the girl he was on cheating on with- the 3rd party in the relationship.
Perhaps she only just became aware that she's the 3rd party and she's now devastated to know that she's only the other girl. All she wanted was his love but look what it's done to her. And now she knows he's somewhere else and loving someone else. But he has taken her love with him wherever he is but she can't do anything abt it and it's just such a shame now.
