Wow, I never realized the sign in the shop window said "Buy buy". Although it never really made sense, I always thought it said "Bye bye". Like, saying goodbye to the junk that wasn't needed anymore. For some reason I've always thought of this as a break-up song. I saw the junk in the yard as the person being dumped, and the shop as being the person doing the dumping. And the sign in the window says "Bye bye", and the junk just goes "Why?". I don't know, it's just the way I've always thought of it. But now that it's clear that the sign actually says "Buy buy", that really opens up for some interesting interpretation!
