It's very obviously about falling off the tracks and having an old song/singer bringing back memories and getting her to pull herself together again because of this rediscovery. I think she wanted to get back in touch with herself but couldn't, began rejecting help and letting herself stagnate. Without being concious of doing so she began to get herself back to reality all due to this 'song'. It's no secret that Flo had a bit of a turbulent teenagehood and I feel this is a homage to coming out of it.
It's a sweet song in a way and I'd love to know who this singer and their songs are.
