I love this song, it's such a beautiful song, and I can't stop listening to it.
But, does anybody know what "sing along" means? and "you'll never know what could have been, if you don't sing along"?
Thanks.
@daniel92 The first time I heard this song was at their concert. They had all the lyrics on big poster boards that they flipped through so that everyone in the audience could literally sing along to the song we didn't know. This was right after they explained that they wanted to do something different with their new album and hoped everyone would be open minded to the change. Getting everyone to sing these surprising and silly lyrics was a perfect icebreaker to get the crowd and really brought everyone around to having a fun time instead of expecting their moodier...

It was such an amazing happy atmosphere for the whole night.
To me the rest of the meaning felt like it was about how they loved their fans so much that they loved them too much (think Angelica from Tiny Toons). Or maybe that they love they fans and want them to be happy by singing this silly song even if by force. Tough love.
