I hate people who blurt out nonsense like a couple idiots have above--like you're a moron if you don't know what this song means, or it's not worth it... Because despite that idiotic opinion, people have offered good ideas above.
I have no idea if this is supposed to be what Chad heard as a kid, what some people in general hear during their development, or if it's what we sometimes say to ourselves. I always heard my own father when I listened, but I like the suggestion that it's what we tell ourselves.
I've also always thought it was weird the way he sang the part that's supposedly "motherfucking". He is saying that, but I know he can sing better than that. (He's definitely not saying "another"; listen at 00:25 or 00:43 when there are no drums drowning him out.)
I also don't think the people in the background are laughing. It sounds like talking and shouting to me.
