i completely agree. i feel its two lonely people that are just starting to fall in love. and him wondering if shes really like him and has the same hurt/feeling as he does(in general). i feel like ive lived this many times. a very mellon collie (no pun intended) and happy feeling at the same time. like you could cry but not bc ur sad. now thats some emo for ya
