well i think this song is about falling deep in love and putting your all in the relationship, then being broken up with. I think its about still being in love and remembering what you had (hence the "i can feel you now") but not being able to have the one person you want..
And when he says "act as though you have forgotten all the trouble you have gotten into" I think the person is trying to act like every things okay, like nothing ever happened between them and they're all friends. And where he says "i can't figure it out" i think it might be that the person may have gave you false hope, and then takes it away.
I think this song is about how you just drop everything for one person and then watch them walk away, it distroys you inside (hence the "dug a hole now i can't get out") but you can't help but love them, which is where the "think about you all the time" I believe its about wanting to get over someone but you just can't ("i can't breathe in the space thats filled with your sound")
