But in part 1, before I read the stuff about the bass player who attempted suicide, I thought the "bottles are calling me" was referring to someone taking to alcohol, knowing once they start down that road they will never come back.
I wonder if part 2 is from the point of view of a friend of the guy and he is also suicidal after seeing his friend attempt suicide and go insane. There's a reccuring theme about depression and mental health in some of their songs and the way they write them are just epic.
