i love the irony of the "stand by your man" pinball machine. something tells me that jack is kind of insecure when it comes to love. in lots of his songs he always talks about messing up, and ruining a relationship, just because he had no confidence. like in this song, where he basically killed this relationship because he thinks the girl is too good for him. and then, in "a martyr for my love for you", he's basically saying that he's learned now that he needs to back away from relationships, to stop himself from screwing them up. i love that man. :)
