i think this song just puts into perspective how people fool themselves into thinking the chemistry they feel with a new person is love but, it's just lust. the forbidden fruit tastes sweeter rings so true in this song. not that the lust may not develop into love but, you will more often than not, be in this same situation again when you're bored with your new spouse. most people who fall into this kind of relationship are never satisfied for too long. of course, there is the one in million exception to the rule.
