I don't know about the rest of you, but when I go to the movies I get sucked into the plot, characters, everything so easily.

A moving picture, forget your real life and disappear"
That's what thse lines mean to me. That and the fact that those people up there are just like us, even though they seem so... different. They don't seem like People sometimes, like you and me.
"We see the actress defy the dangerous
Our stomach in knots, the edge of our seats as we watch"
Once again, these people seem so sureal to us. They go through impossible things, and we just sit there in awe and entertainment.
"When it's all over we will talk and return to our cars
Just for one night, you are my only
Just for one night, I won't be lonely"
Again, losing oneself in another person's life, almost filling the void with that which is, in actuallity, just a show.
It can all be taken figuritivly. That would not surprise me with this band.
And yeah, I think that the church intrpretation is likely as well. Or the obsession one.
