I'm surprised I'm the first to comment on this song, its really good! Its about a relationship that is going bad. He has decided to try something new, to try to ignore what the other person is saying. In the end it still doesnt work and he gives up, all the while hopeing it can work out someday. Sad and optimistic in a way, at the same time.
