I grew up in the 80's and didn't hear this song much, yet now when I hear it I get misty-eyed for a generation that I didn't even live in! I wish I lived in a time when this sort of thing is considered Pop. The overall sound and harmonizing seem to represent to me what the music of the early seventees were like. The time when there was more optimism and a hippie feel that soon disappeared from mainstream. I love this silly song about rodents screwing.
