I love daphne loves derby and just listened to this song for the first time, and this may not be what the song really means but this is my interpretation due to the situation i'm in,

I dont know who I've become ( lost / confused obviously becoming something he didn't want to)
since that november day ( for me this means alot, november day means a changing event in that month the month flower of november is chrysanthemum which means compassion, friendship, and secret love. It's a secret love.)november 30th is my "november day"

In the end it wasn't all up to him though, she played a part in ending it as well. Thinking about it he can't really be surprised because the promises they made eachother were very demanding.)
