What I meant, was: it's a wonderful song, obviously. But it seems to me that it's about a relationship that doesn't quite want to end. (my lips are bleeding from kissing you goobye, kissing you goodbye every night). And he's hurting and isn't able to "stand his ground" to the point where it SEEMS he doesn't care.
But still he wants to be with her (my heart is pounding, yes, yes, yes), but he doesn't think it's right (my mind just second guess).
I'm unsure about the whole "my love is so articulate, i am such a mess" line. It sounds so beautiful, but I'm not sure what he means. Maybe that his love, in his heart, is very articulate and he knows exactly what he feels and what he wants, but himself is a mess, and can't say or show it properly?
Maybe I'm portraying too much of my own emotions and experiences into this.
